Amazon is shutting down its Fresh services in different parts of nine states
People living in some parts of these states Connecticut, Massachusetts, Virginia, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and California need to worry.
In major cities, like New York City, Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia and Los Angeles, it seems can access fresh, an Amazon spokesperson told. The service first launched in Seattle, and has since grown to service a considerable proportion of the U.S.
However, it would appear that Amazon is rolling back its long-standing grocery service.
The Fresh in some parts of the country comes a few months after Amazon bought Whole Foods for $13.7 billion.
Amazon said what’s happening with Fresh is unrelated to the acquisition. Just last month, Amazon announced the impending shut down of Wine, which originally launched in late 2012.
The Amazon spokeswoman offered no information on if the services in the suspended areas might open again in the future. Amazon Fresh has started pickup locations in Seattle where people go and pick up their grocery items.
