What is Diabetes?
Diabetes, the most effected and serious disease. It arises when glucose is too high in blood. The disease involves with the insulin hormone. Insulin, a pancreatic hormone, that helps to store and use the glucose from what you eat. However, glucose is an important source of energy for us.

When your body doesn’t use insulin well, the glucose in blood stays inside and causes diabetes. The levels of glucose in blood increases it causes health problems. However, there is no cure for diabetes.
Types and symptoms of diabetes
Type1, type 2, and gestational diabetes are the most common types of diabetes. The type 1 diabetes can appear at any age. Mostly, the disease identifies in children and young adults.
The type-1 diabetes patient does not make insulin because the immune system attacks and destroys the cells in pancreas. The type 1 diabetes patients take insulin every day to stay alive. The symptoms of type 1 diabetes are excessive thirst, regular urination, feeling tired, loss of muscular bulk and unexplained weight loss.

The type 2 diabetes can also appear at any age. Commonly, the type-2 diabetes mostly occurs in middle-aged and older people. Weight loss, thirsty, blurred vision, and others are the common symptoms of type 2 diabetes. However, type 2 diabetes is the most common type of diabetes.
Gestational diabetes develops in pregnant ladies. We cannot notice the symptoms of this type of diabetes. Therefore, screening tests are important. Rarely, an increased thirst or urinary frequency may be noticed.
Home remedies for diabetes
1 Bitter melon
Bitter melon controls the levels of glucose in blood. It influences the glucose metabolism all over your body rather a specific organ or tissue.
It helps to increase the production of insulin and prevents insulin resistance. Bitter melon useful for both type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Drink some bitter melon juice on an empty stomach early morning.
2 Cinnamon
Cinnamon powder has the ability to controls the levels of blood sugar by refreshing insulin activity. The bio-active components in cinnamon can prevent and fight diabetes.

Coumarin, a toxic compound, appears in Cassia cinnamon. The compound damages liver. So, don’t use excess amount of cinnamon. Drink a cup of cinnamon water daily to controls diabetes.
3 Fenugreek
Fenugreek is an herb it has hypoglycemic activity that improves glucose ability and decreases blood sugar levels. The herb also encourages the production of glucose-dependent insulin. It has high levels of fiber, it slows down the absorption of carbohydrates and sugars.
4 Amla
Indian gooseberry, the other name of Amla. Amla has high levels of vitamin C compounds. It promotes the function of your pancreas.
However, mixing two tablespoons of the juice in one cup of water and drink daily with an empty stomach to control the levels of diabetes.
- Black Plum or Indian Black Berry (Jambul)
The compounds in jambul restricts blood sugar level. It has anthocyanins, ellagic acid, hydrolysable tannins etc. This plant has hypoglycemic effects that can reduce blood and urine sugar levels rapidly.
The seasonal fruit can be very effectual for the pancreas. To make a powder of dried seeds of Jambul fruit and eat with water twice a day.
- Okra
Okra, or ladies finger, it has polyphenolic compounds that can reduce glucose levels in blood and control diabetes. Adding okra in your diet.
Other remedies
Follow a healthy eating plan and exercise regularly. Get plenty of fiber in your diet. However, a few minutes of daily exposure to sunlight can also help control diabetes.
Drink plenty of water throughout the day. Also, water helps break down sugars.
Deep breathing, meditation, listening to music, to relieve stress as it may raise your blood sugar.
