Apple is all set to come up with its education-focused event called “creative new ideas for teachers and students.” The event is supposed to be held on March 27 and rumours have it that new products will also get unveiled at the event!
As the company has recently sent out its invitation to the event various different speculations are being made. However, the invitation has absolutely no hint! It only says “Let’s take a field trip” along with a stylized company logo! Ever since media has the rumour of cheaper MacBook to hit the market soon, everyone has its own say on when it is really going to see the world!
Bloomberg even remarks that this so-called “low-cost iPad” will be announced at the event next week along with some other new educational software. Let’s see if it really gets announced or not! Nevertheless, the company will surely come up with some or other education software on the occasion of the event next week.
Interestingly, the company isn’t picking up some popular place for the event nor is it organizing it in its newly opened Apple Park Campus in Cupertino. Instead, it has chosen a high school in Chicago! As the Chicago Board of Education has recently added computer science as a graduation requirement for all the public schools, the Apple’s event at a school appears more appropriate venue than any other.
Budget Apple iPad Prices
Rumours have been that Apple is working on its budget iPad, a 9.7-inch device that will be available at an easy price of $259. At present, even the entry level model from the company starts at $329. This suggests that the newer model will be the cheapest one from the company. Perhaps, this event will set a platform for the company to finally unveil it!
As Google and Microsoft already have cheaper solutions for schools and students, Apple could not yet target schools, students and teachers successfully. Perhaps, with its cheaper iPad, it will get to enter the schools and classrooms. Price is definitely one of the major factors for not gaining any popularity in the school classrooms as the publicly funded educational institutions always look for cheaper options.
Rumours have it that the company will also introduce a cheaper version of its laptops! DigiTimes reports along with Ming Chi Kuo, a reliable KGI Securities analyst have claimed that Apple is all set to release a brand new version of its MacBook Air. Notably, MacBook Air is still available in the market as an entry-level laptop at $999. The upcoming computer is suggested to be 13.3 inches with Retina Display of 2560×1600 resolutions MacBook. This will again an entry-level device and will be priced between $799 and $899, a pretty appropriate price for the students.
