Samsung Chromebook Plus V2
Almost a year ago electronics maker Samsung launch Chromebook Pro and Chromebook Plus into the Chromebook market. The both Chromebook’s has impressive specifications and also succeed in the market. Also, the first Chromebooks to come with the Play Store pre-installed. Now, the company announces the Samsung Chromebook Plus V2, an updated version of Chromebook plus.
Alanna Cotton, Senior Vice President and General Manager at Samsung Electronics America, said, the new Samsung Chromebook Plus is designed especially for people who never stop moving, to match their pace and magnify their creativity.
Added a few upgrades
However, compared to the first model, there is not much difference in the latest version. But, added a few upgrades, like a second camera and a new processor.
The Chromebook Plus V2 has a built-in pen and a screen that can turn over to tablet mode. The weight of the laptop is 2.93 lbs. According to Samsung, the Chromebook Plus V2 runs with an Intel chip. The Intel chip is a lower-end Celeron CPU. Specifically, a 1.5GHz dual-core Celeron 3965Y Kaby Lake CPU added with 4GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage. The convertible also comes with Intel HD 615 graphics.
The Samsung Chromebook Plus V2 runs Chrome OS out-of-the-box and exhibit at 12.2-inch full-HD touchscreen display with a peak brightness of 300 nits. The 13MP rear camera has an f/1.9 aperture and autofocus capabilities. The front camera gets a 1MP for video calling.
For connectivity, the laptop has two USB-C ports, one USB3.0 port, a microSD card reader, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Also has 1.5Wx2 stereo speakers, and the battery is 39Wh.
Starting at $499, the Chromebook Plus V2 available in the US at BestBuy stores and the BestBuy.com on June 24.
