Group video chat now on Instagram
Messenger app Instagram brings a new update that allows friends to group video chat via Instagram Direct on its Android and iOS apps. Instagram stated, with the new four-way video chat feature, users will able to start a video chat in Instagram Direct with just one person or a group of people. Also, users can minimize their chat window and continue to scroll through their feed without ending the call.
To enable this new video chat feature, follow these steps
- Install Instagram app
- To start a conversation, Click the message arrow in the top right corner
- Tap a username or group name to open the conversation
- You can also start a new conversation by tapping the + icon in the top right and selecting people.
- Tap the video icon in the top right. The person or group you call will receive a notification.
In the new update, you can also block a user on Instagram. We have a couple of mandatory individuals we must follow on Instagram, but there’s an approach to keep that individual from video chatting with you if you don’t want them to.
Instagram has also rolled out improvements to its Explore page. Now, the update divides the feed into topic channels, uncovering related content below.
Depending upon the content, Instagram’s algorithm will customize the content, which users will have the capacity to swipe between. Also, muted some categories. Before this change, the investigate feed was a mix of famous substance under ” Videos You Might Like.”
