Video sharing service YouTube’s VR app now available on the Samsung Gear VR headset. Google announced the YouTube VR app in 2016 and it’s first launch on Google Daydream view VR headset for pixel and pixel XL phones.
The major aspect of this VR app is you can watch any video using a VR headset also making every video a potential VR experience. AS per YouTube, the YouTube VR app is ‘immersive’, means you can get the benefits of YouTube VR are those filmed in 360-degrees videos.
When sign in to YouTube account the VR app uses other YouTube features, such as voice search, for allowing you to connect subscriptions and personal feeds. Also similar to other YouTube products, the YouTube VR interface allows you to keep videos playing background while searching other videos. The main difference is the interface is displayed through the VR headset with display screens and interface options suspended in thin air in front of you.
Experience of YouTube videos in virtual reality
After launching YouTube VR app on Google Daydream view VR headset later Google brings to HTC Vive and PlayStation VR. Now, the VR app is heading to Samsung Gear VR headset and Samsung users can watch and enjoy the experience of YouTube videos in virtual reality. While, the YouTube VR app available in Oculus store starting from this week. Comparing with other VR headsets, Samsung Gear VR is less expensive and also it has popularity in the VR headset market.

With Samsung Gear VR, enjoy the VR experience by putting your smartphone into the VR headset rather using a gaming console or PC. Finally, Google is going to launch YouTube VR to Gear VR headsets and giving more VR users that YouTube has offered. Google stated, now both Daydream and Gear VR users can access to watch videos in virtual space.
In the Daydream VR headset, Google added a “Watch Together” icon locates below the Daydream View’s and Gear VR’s apps’ play controls, for the future to support YouTube VR app on other VR platforms.
While, Google hasn’t applied to apps for additional devices, but working to bring YouTube VR app users.
