In latest space news Scientists of NASA confirms that moon surface contains ice and water. With the help of Chandrayaan-1 spacecraft.

As the ancient study said that  the moon surface contains ice which was published in the journal PNAS. The NASA made a deep study using the data send by the Chandrayaan-1 spacecraft and NASA’s Moon Mineralogy Mapper (M3) instrument found that three specific signatures of ice water.

Since from 1994, NASA Scientists stared studying the journal of PNAS and finally confirms that moon surface contain ice. And they also assuming that from million meters height of solid ice their will water also.

Ice confirmed at the Moon’s poles

Before observations indirectly they found possible of surface ice at the lunar South Pole, but these could have been explained by other phenomena, such as unusually reflective lunar soil.

At the southern pole, of the moon most of the ice is present at lunar craters, while the northern pole’s ice is more widely, but sparsely spread. Due to the very small tilt of the Moon’s rotation axis, sunlight never reaches these regions. “We found direct and definitive evidence for surface-exposed water ice in the lunar polar regions,” said by NASA Scientists.

NASA Scientists assumed that moon surface contain ice. Because “Most of the newfound water ice lies in the shadows of craters near the poles. Where the warmest temperatures never reach above minus 250 degrees Fahrenheit. Because of the very small tilt of the Moon’s rotation axis, sunlight never reaches these regions”.

By doing close study NASA is having plain is there any chance to live human life on the surface of the moon. With solid ice and water at the north pole of the moon.

The moon mineralogy mapper instrument designed at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, California and was home to its project manager.
