Tiger vs. Phil (and Tom vs. Peyton) Turn Rivalry Into Laughs

A charity game is always a fun thing to watch as the mood is calmer, the game is lighter and the sport is all the more glorified for being free-spirited. On such a note a recent charity golf match was held between Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning against Phil Mickelson and Tom Brady.

Football and Golf are sports which are wide apart but bringing stalwarts from these sports together to play this charity game has definitely been deem interesting. This match was quite a hilarious one of sorts but did put a few things in perspective.

The game was held indoors in the Medalist Golf Club in Hobe Sound. Tiger Woods beat Phil Mickelson but the other players and the Twitter community was poking fun having hilarious digs at each other.

The teams were Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning versus Phil Mickelson and Tom Brady.  The game started with a terrible start by Brad who played as if he was Mr. Butterfingers, and the people on twitter and the commentators couldn’t point the hilarious barfs on the ground that the Brad was continuously making. But the highlight of it all was when Brad tried to pick up a ball, his pant split on national television for the whole wide world to see.  Too bad that it didn’t happen in his precious soccer field! As Phil taught the Brad how to stroke a 10-foot putt the world soaked in Brad’s innocence.

Well as events did turn out the way they did, Tiger Woods did up winning the game although Brad did get better and put a good fight. They won the opposing team by pulling off a three-hole lead on the front nine.

But the highlight of it all was when once rivals Woods and Mickelson did put differences aside and come together for a good cause.  The match raised $20 million for COVID-19 relief efforts. Not only golf fans but fans of all sports came together to watch this and were unified in this testing times. The entertainment that this match gave to the world is an understatement and we are glad it was.
