Twitter is making it even easier to spread your tweets far and wide to every social media platform imaginable, including Snapchat.
Starting Today on iOS support is coming “soon” for Android; you will be able to add tweets into a snap as a sticker. Earlier, to share a tweet on Snapchat, people used to take a screenshot of the tweet and share it as tweets didn’t have access to any of Snapchat’s camera or editing features.
Now, if you want to share a tweet to Snapchat, press the share button on a public tweet and select the Snapchat icon from the share carousel. Twitter doesn’t allow you to share public tweets for apparent reasons. You can then create a snap as usual. Then you need to select a tweet as a sticker that you can manipulate. You can then share the Snap as you would any other sending it to people or adding it to your story. And whoever sees it can go to the tweet by swiping up.
All we can say is Snap looks way better than the (often crunchy) screenshots of tweets do. And it is nice that it’s a format that lets you quickly find the source. The significant update allows you to add tweets directly into their Snapchat snaps, providing more options for sharing tweet conversations. It is central because major social platforms don’t tend to play well together, preferring instead to keep users within their apps.
What else is on the cards?
To start, this feature is only for iOS users now. But more interestingly, Twitter also says it will soon launch a small test of similar quality. To let iOS users share tweets in Instagram Stories. The functionality to share tweets from Twitter’s app to Snapchat is available starting today on iOS. With the two companies set to add the feature for Android soon.
Users can share tweets visually in Snaps and Stories while still accessing the Camera and other creative tools of Snapchat.
How can you share Tweets on Snapchat?
It is an effective integration as social platforms don’t gel well together, preferring instead to keep users within their apps. To share tweets, you need to follow these steps:
- On iOS, tap the share icon on a Tweet.
- Select the Snapchat icon at the bottom of the share menu to create the sticker
- Once shared, the Snap will link back to the tweet on Twitter, where you can see the whole conversation.
The main aim here is to drive traffic back to Twitter. A Snap rep recently said Today’s update makes it easier and faster to share tweets to Snapchat. And it connects more people to the conversations happening on Twitter. If you share tweets on Snapchat will disappear at the same time as the Snap (24 hours if posted in a Story).
Additionally, the company allows a more effective integration that is in the works. For some of you on iOS, we will be testing sharing a Tweet as a sticker to Instagram too. All you need to do is Tap the Instagram icon in the Tweet share menu. To add the Tweet as a sticker in a Story, you can do it quickly. Since then, the sharing of content between the two apps was a bit tough. Now, they seem to be addressing the issue.
Why is Snapchat so popular?
When a marketplace features many comparable suppliers, consumer preferences get harder to understand. Presumably, because while rational calculations among distinct offerings are converging it is less-rational calculations among equivalents show diversities rivaling that of individual humans themselves.
Snapchat may have differentiating features or differentiating implementations of features. It includes streaks, their specific frames, maps, etc. Most of Snapchat’s features seem likelier to help with retention than adoption; some are inaccessible to new users.
Snapchat may have a differentiating absence of features, too. Snapchat may have marketing/branding-based differentiation, which can happen in some markets because the marketing of this sort is too costly. It’s interesting to note that it may be reasonable to think about marketing differently for network-based products.
Benefits of marketing on Snapchat:
You need to know that Snapchat might not be the right social media platform for every business. But it might be a perfect platform for your business if you want to connect with people under the age of 35, Snapchat is the right place to be. That’s because 82% of all Snapchat users are 34 years old or younger. And chances are, you might have some trouble reaching this audience over other platforms. More than one-third of Snapchat users don’t use Instagram.
Data also shows that Snapchat is an engaging platform for this younger audience. On average, users spend 30 minutes per day using Snapchat. Snapchatters are 60% more likely to make an impulse purchase on this platform. While users are connecting with friends over Snapchat, they are also expected to discover new businesses. Snapchat’s current design connects friends via the ‘Chat’ button on the home screen’s left-hand side.
It connects users with brands and content creators via the ‘Discover’ icon on the home screen’s right hand. And just like other social media platforms, users aren’t only connecting with friends.
Show your brand’s playful side here:
It’s about being authentic, not picture-perfect. Snapchat even calls itself the app for #RealFriends. Many of the features you will use are about being lighthearted, creative, and even a little cheeky. To effectively use Snapchat for marketing, you need to create a Snapchat business account. It doesn’t matter whether you are using the platform for a large company or whether you’re using Snapchat for your small business. The Business account is mandatory.
We can say that the integration between Snapchat and Twitter is going to be stunning and out of the box as you can get a lot of new users to Twitter from this platform.
