Introduction:

As per reports, it is clear that the Facebook-owned messaging app WhatsApp is going to stop its support for some of the devices from Jan 2021.

The makers of messaging apps have also confirmed that for people who are using an older version of iPhone and Android users, Whatsapp is going to stop altogether or for some users may lose some features of the app.

Whatsapp is not going to work for Android users who are not using android 4.0.3 or above and for iPhone users who are not using iOS 9 or above. If the user has the update available for their handset they can update to continue WhatsApp services. Otherwise, the user has to look for a new smartphone.

Users who are going to lose WhatsApp support:

Android: Whatsapp is not going to run for android users who are not using android 4.0.3 or above. Even though there are not many devices that are using earlier versions than android 4.0.3. Some models are the Motorola Droid Razr, HTC Desire, LG Optimus Black, and the Samsung Galaxy S2.
