This New Asus ZenFone 8 series has already appeared in several leaks and rumors. Asus ZenFone 8 series might feature a Snapdragon 888 chip and 8GB RAM. With all these new specs, Asus ZenFone seems to set some high expectations among its users.

Interestingly, Asus Company also confirmed officially that it will launch this new flagship Asus ZenFone 8 series on May 12th. Based on XDA Developers reports, Asus may introduce three ZenFone variants, ZenFone 8, ZenFone 8 Pro, and ZenFone 8 Mini.

Based on reports, the New Flagship device Asus Zenfone 8 has appeared in several leaks along with the GeekBench listing. This device is said to the ZenFone 8 mini. This model has appeared with the model number ASUS_I004D. This is similar to the model number of the ZenFone 8 found on a kernel source code breakdown done by the guys at XDA Developers.

The GeekBench listing reveals that the Asus Zenfone 8 will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset along with its ZenFone 8 Mini. Also, the processor can configured with 8GB RAM. Where the Zenfone 8 Mini can configured with 16GB RAM. And the phone will run on the Android 11 operating system. This means Asus’s new flagship device provides you with everything that you expect from a premium device. And enables you to work on projects efficiently and enables you to 5G networking as it packs Snapdragon 888.

In addition to this, the Geekbench scores, this flagship model scored 1124 points on the single-core test. Whereas in the multi-core test it secured 3669 points. With these scores, we can say that these results are quite similar to Asus’s Zenfone 8 Mini. Which has appeared on the Geekbench last week, as per reports.

Apart from this, Asus Zenfone 8 series comes with AMOLED displays with FHD + resolutions. Also, these displays will support a 120Hz refresh rate. Asus ZenFone 8 Series details revealed from the Kernel Source Code

Based on the reports, Asus expected to launch multiple phones as a part of the Asus ZenFone 8 series. The company rumored to introduce a Mini version that will feature premium specs in a compact form factor. In addition to this, an earlier Google Support Document suggested a mysterious “Asus ZenFone 8 Flip”. However, we don’t know if the rumored Mini and Flip are going to be the same device or a different one. Apart from this, the Kernel source code and firmware files indicate a new third member to this flagship device.

Interestingly, XDA recognized developer Freak07, has found references to three new devices in the kernel source code of the ASUS ROG phone 5. These three flagship devices code-named as “SAKE”, “PICASSO”, and “VODKA”.

SAKE codenamed project

The SAKE codenamed project rumored as the ZenFone 8 Mini, and it is referred to as a small phone in Asus’s software. Which will feature a 5.92 inch OLED display. Supporting this, the configuration file for the panel indicates that it will support a 120Hz refresh rate. Also, it has full HD+ with a pixel 2400×1800 resolution. Whereas it may feature two image sensors, a 64MP Sony IMX686 and a new Sony IMX663.

PICASSO and VODKA codenamed projects

Coming to the PICASSO project it seems to feature the same panel as the ZenFone 7 series. Which a 6.67-inch Samsung-made OLED panel at full HD+ resolution. Also, it has similar camera hardware to the ZenFone 7 series. With the exception of an additional 24MP image sensor defined as the front sensor in the kernel.

However, there are no particular rumors informing anything about the VODKA device. Making it the most mysterious of the three flagship devices. Very few references are there in both kernel source code and in the latest firmware.
